Event Details

Valerie June will be performing along with Gill Landry at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido on November 30th at 7:30pm.

Valerie June is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose sound encompasses a mixture of folk, blues, gospel, soul, country, Appalachian and bluegrass. June has earned the attention of music legend Bob Dylan. Dylan said he had been listening to June, whose latest album, The Order of Time, is a blend of spacey hippie soul, blues and folk with June’s pinched, modern-Appalachian voice at the center.

Gill Landry’s latest album “Love Rides A Dark Horse” was recorded in a south Nashville apartment and produced by Landry himself, the album pitches its tent in the four-way intersection between Dylan-inspired folk-rock, atmospheric Americana, dusty cowboy songs and street busker ballads. Tickets cost $15-$40. For more information about this event, or to purchase tickets online, go to: artcenter.org.
