Night Fishing and Catfish Season at Dixon Lake

Night fishing is open until 11:45 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, July 12th – August 31st.
Night fishing boats rentals start at 5:00 p.m.

Catfish season is here! Please see the Weekly Fish Report for more information on fish stocking, boat rentals, permits, etc.  You can call the Dixon Lake Ranger Station at (760) 839-4345 for updates on the current stocking schedule.

Please remember that smoking, alcohol and glass containers are never allowed anywhere at Dixon Lake. Thank you for not littering.

By 9:30pm, you can catch a view of Mars rising in the East, and scan the sky toward the south to also see Saturn and Jupiter.

Gates open at 6:00 a.m. daily; closing hours vary by season. Contact the Park Ranger office at 760-839-4680 for further information. If you want a relaxing experience, join us at the Lake during the week and enjoy less crowds and a slower pace. We still have all the amenities (boat rentals, concessions and camping) but the feeling is a little more laid back. Even parking is free during the week. There is a $5.00 parking fee per vehicle on Saturday, Sunday and all major holidays and special events (cash only please).
