The Anza Borrego Foundation, California State Parks, and sponsors announce New Discoveries in the American Paleolithic: The Pre-16,000BP Archaeological Record, a conference on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 5:00 pm through Saturday, January 12, 2019, 5:00 pm This conference will be held at the UCI Research Center and the Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center in Borrego Springs, CA 92004. The conference will present diverse sites and types of evidence from throughout the Americas that demonstrate the presence of a wide-spread human occupation much earlier than was previously recognized. The conference will focus on new sites and discoveries older than 16,000 BP as well as innovative methodological advances in dating.
Thursday evening at 5 pm, there will be a meet & greet and poster session at the UCI Research Center. Oral presentations and discussions will be held on Friday and Saturday at the Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center. Space is limited; please register as soon as possible.
