LADAMA is a group of four women, virtuosic musicians, and educators, each from a different country and culture of the Americas, who are sisters in song, rhythm and spirit. Harnessing music from their respective countries of origin, the group utilizes traditional and non-traditional instruments from across the Americas, but with a modern twist, to deliver an utterly unique musical experience. Guitarist Jimmy Patton and percussionist Enrique Platas will open for LADAMA.
The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is excited to announce the 20 musical acts (10 opening acts/10 headlines), that will be performing for the first-ever Levitt AMP Escondido Music Series this summer. The event will include food, a makers market with interactive crafts, and a wine and craft beer garden.
This is a free event! Food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and kids activities will also be available during the music series.

Escondido was selected by the Levitt Foundation as one of the 15 mid-sized towns and cities across America to win a Levitt AMP Music Series Grant to present a “Concert Series in the Park.” While the program has been transforming cities across the nation since 2015, Escondido is the first city in California to be granted an award. AMP stands for Amplify community pride and the city’s unique character; to enrich lives through the power of free, live Music and to illustrate the importance of vibrant Public Places. Escondido’s Grape Day Park certainly meets this criteria!
