This is a great workshop for those who have always wanted to try making stone tools or are curious how it is done. Participants will not only learn about the components that make up the Native American stone toolkit, but also basic flintknapping techniques. Participants will also be able to practice these techniques in creating stone tools which they can keep at the end of the session. No experience required. Ages 12 . Minors must be accompanied by a paid adult.

James Bowden has over 30 years experience in flintknapping using traditional tools and techniques. His work has been featured in Modern Lithic Artists Guild Journal, Gold Prospector’s Magazine, and in over two dozen museum and visitor centers across the country.
