The San Dieguito River Park JPA and their partners, San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, Volcan Mountain Foundation, Rady Children’s Hospital’s– Center for Healthier Communities, Surprise Farms, and the San Diego Archaeological Center are hosting a community environmental fair to kick off the Escondido Explorers program at the Escondido Public Library on October 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Learn about the San Dieguito watershed, local wildlife, conservation, safety, history, volunteer opportunities, and more at this family friendly event! The Escondido Explorer Program will provide over 30 free field trips & activities for Escondido children & families to various locations throughout the San Dieguito Watershed over the next 3 years. Learn how to get involved in this first ever program.
The Escondido Explorers Program is funded by the State of California’s Outdoor Equity Grants program to provide local activities and nature trips while also empowering youth & families “with outdoor leadership education, career pathways, environmental justice engagement, and access to nature.”
