Drawing Workshop with Duke Windsor at Escondido Arts Partnership

Beginning June 16th, Duke Windsor will be hosting a series of drawing workshops at the Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery. Drawing 101 Workshops are designed to teach the fundamentals of drawing to non-artists, painters, sculptors, and designers. By the end of this course, students will have completed a wide range of exercises, study sketches, and will have finished works of art ready for framing.

June 30 – Composition, Perspective and Landscapes

July 21 – Fun with Abstract Drawing with Pastels

July 28 – Creating the Portrait from Scratch

Duke Windsor is a recognized fine artist, exhibit designer, and art teacher from San Diego. He has taught art to both adults and children at various venues including the San Diego Museum of Art, Bravo School of Art, San Diego Art Department, and numerous workshops throughout San Diego County.

Windsor has over 15 years of exhibit design experience including eight years as founding Director of Exhibits at the USS Midway Museum. He currently serves as CAD Engineering Manager for Full Swing Golf Simulators, headquartered in Carlsbad. Windsor’s paintings have been exhibited and received awards at juried solo and group exhibitions and corporate venues in San Diego and Southern California, and they are held in private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. His studio is currently located in Mt. Helix.

About Escondido Arts Partnership:
The Escondido Arts Partnership was established in 1995 to promote the long-term economic development of Escondido as a cultural destination. EAP offers many cultural and financial benefits to the community through a growing variety of juried exhibitions, artist in schools programs, 2nd Saturday Art Receptions, Tuesday Organic Farmers Market, The Recycled Materials Runway Event, educational activities and special events at the Escondido Municipal Gallery.
