Join the fun with us each year as families come to Bates Nut Farm to enjoy live music, face painting, pony rides and petting zoo, Polar Express Hayride to visit Santa, gingerbread house making, free crafts provided by local clubs, churches and organizations, and shopping with local crafters and vendors.  The “Christmas Voice” singing contest will also take place during the event. On Friday December 13, Santa arrives at 6:00 pm. There will be live musical entertainment, and the first round of the “Christmas Voice” contest begins at 3:30. On Saturday December 8, Santa will arrive at 11:00, and children can take the Polar Express Hayride to visit him at the North Pole.  A slide, crafts and pony rides will be offered, along with vendors, crafters and food booths.  The finals of the “Christmas Voice” contest will begin at 2:00, with cash prizes going to the top 3 contestants.

Christmas in the Valley began nine years ago when Marcia Townsend wanted to bring the magic of Christmas to the children of Valley Center.  She wanted it to be free of charge and was able to make this dream a reality through donations, grants and the team of volunteers.  Over the years Christmas in the Valley has grown, and is now presented by Promote Valley Center.
