Natural Dyes are super-popular right now, and for all the right reasons. And ’tis the season to learn to dye with plentiful acorns + galls! At this experiential workshop you’ll learn the basics of dyeing with both Acorns and Galls, ancient dye-stuffs native to Southern California. You’ll also learn to Shibori dye 2 gorgeous large natural fiber fabric pieces, ready to experiment more at home with the bounty of the Season.
IN THIS CLASS EACH STUDENT WILL RECEIVE:
- Instruction on Acorn and Gall Dye Prep
- Instruction on basic Shibori Technique
- 2 Natural Fiber Fabric Pieces to Shibori + Dye
- Fabric Samples from each Natural Dye Vat
