Join us for our brand new event: Stories of Us!

Little ones and their families are invited to experience the richness of San Diego’s diversity through storytimes, musical presentations, or hands-on activities with local community members to create meaningful discussions and insights into the many cultures they may encounter in their lives.

Tuesday, September 26 | 10am – 11am
Learn the stories of San Diego’s Indigenous people with ‘ataaxum Pomkwaan. Families will enjoy an interactive sing-along and an oral story of How the Stinkbug Came to be Black.

Included with Museum admission. No registration required.

Join us onsite for Fun Animal Friday with Pacific Animal Productions, Friday September 29 from 10am to 12pm.

Pacific Animal Productions will be introducing our guests to a hedgehog, ferret, and chinchilla!

The event will include a live presentation, meet & greet, storytime, special craft, and more!
Included with Museum admission. No registration required.

**Petting is entirely contingent upon the animals’ well-being. We recommend arriving at the Museum early to maximize your chances of meeting the animals.

Are you ready for an intergalactic adventure? Explore the solar system with Jet Propulsion through special interactive activities and storytime.

Art in the Garden is back at the Grand Avenue Festival again this fall. This small juried art show is the perfect place to find unusual handmade gifts for everyone on your list. Find more than 30 artists at the East end of the Festival in Heritage Garden at the corner of E Grand and Juniper. Bring your young artists to Art in the Garden for interactive art activities for all ages, express yourselves creatively and take your art project home.

This annual Fall street festival is nearly 30 years old and is located on Historic Grand Avenue between Escondido Blvd and Ivy Street in beautiful Historic Downtown Escondido.
