“You’re Not Worthy” – At least, that’s according to the bottle of Arrogant Bastard Ale in front of you, but they’ll let you stick around anyway. They’re nice like that at Stone Brewing Co., famous for making some of the best craft beers in the world. Now you can kick back and watch them in action as you partake of their aggressively large onion rings, duck tacos, or jerk chicken smithereens in-a-bowl-on-a-plate (yes, that’s a real dish!) at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens and consider chilling by the fire pit for a while. Stone has followed up their stellar beer reputation with an equally impressive menu, featuring locally fresh and naturally raised ingredients from Stone Farms, tossed liberally with spices, unique sauces and influences from around the world. No fizzy yellow beer or mediocre food here.
GETTING FRESH - Every Tuesday afternoon, Grand Avenue freshens up with local organic produce, flowers and other specialties that you won’t find in your local supermarket. Walking down the street is a feast for the senses, with the freshest smells and colors of seasonal fruits and vegetables, flowers, herbs, nuts, eggs and honey surrounding you. Other vendors offer gourmet chocolates, salsas, European breads, fish tacos, coffee and much more!
Escondido now enjoys four farmers’ markets:
Tuesday: Downtown on Grand Avenue
Saturday: Downtown on Kalmia Street
Sunday: South Escondido at Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead
Monday: North Escondido at the Welk Resort Village
For those specifically interested in area wineries or breweries, we encourage you to visit any of our incredible boutique wineries or our three unique craft breweries.
