EcoVivarium – Closed for Temporary Repairs

Temporary Closure May 29, 2017 – June 6, 2017

EcoVivarium Living Museum will be closed for repairs (due to recent rains) and interior completion of the museum enclosures from May 29th through June 6th.  At the advice of our veterinarian, we are making this a week long closure to insure all vapors from the repairs have been eliminated from the building for the safety and well-being of the Ambassador Animals.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this causes and invite you all to come and see the new museum beginning June 7th!

EcoVivarium Living Museum

The EcoVivarium Living Museum is located in downtown Escondido at 136 S. Juniper St. between Grand Avenue and Second Street.  Open Hours: Wednesday – Sunday, 10am to 4:30pm. Annual Passes are available for purchase.

Click here to see this great video: NBC 7’s Dagmar Midcap visited the EcoVivarium in Escondidio where unique hands-on interaction with animals is forging growth and confidence in children.

EcoVivarium is a biome based museum featuring live reptiles, amphibians and arthropods.  Ninety-eight percent of our collection comes to us through rescue and two percent through donation with only select arthropods being purchased from captive bred populations. See our Animal Ambassadors up close and enjoy unique hands-on encounters. Experience their world, meet fascinating creatures and learn about the many connections we share.
