Peking Acrobats
January 10, Saturday, 7:30pm
The Peking Acrobats are masters of agility and grace, defying gravity with awe-inspiring gymnastic displays of contortion, flexibility and control.  Accompanied by live musicians and high-tech special effects, the acrobats bring the excitement of a Chinese Carnival to the stage!

Second Saturdays: Family Arts Activities

Once every month, the Center’s Education Department offers free arts activities to engage and entertain the whole family. The arts standards based activities, held in Studio One Theater and Studio Two, explore various artistic mediums. We provide the materials — attendees just bring their creativity! Free to the public.

Intimate Classics: Keyboard Conversations® with Jeffrey Siegel

Jeffrey Siegel, a Center favorite, returns with his signature enthusiasm, world-class credentials, and astounding virtuosity to perform Gershwin and Friends. His keyboard conversations are more than just a concert—they provide avid music lovers a more meaningful listening experience and make the joy of music more accessible to audiences of all ages.

Westminster Chorus
January 17, Saturday, 7:30pm
Barbershop singing at its finest, the Westminster chorus performs beautiful harmonies and choral theatrics that have earned them an impressive set of accomplishments and praise, including the 2009 ‘Choir of the World’ Pavarotti Trophy and the International Chorus Gold Medal of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 2007 and 2010.

Alberta Ballet: Fumbling Towards Ecstasy

Alberta Ballet: Fumbling Towards Ecstasy showcases a troupe of 30 classically trained dancers tracing the deeply spiritual odyssey of a woman’s life from first romantic encounter to mature love. Living musical icon, Sarah McLaughlin’s music is featured throughout the performance.

Enjoy the return of contemporary with the exhibition, Contemporary Constructions: Matthew & Iris Strauss Family Foundation highlighting contemporary artists from around the world in this diverse and thought provoking collection by Elliott Hundley, Kahn & Selesnick, Fred Wilson and more!

If you find yourself wanting to go ‘behind the scenes’ in the art world, enjoy In the Studio: Artist Dialogs, an inside look into the studio life of artists. Featured artists include Raul Guerrero with sculptures created in studio with Ed Kienholz and Sam Francis as well as works by Peter Phillips and Roy David Rogers who have worked on early performance and sculptural works with Eleanor Antin.

These two exhibitions let viewers connect the dots to discover important relationships in the art world, drawing connections between creators and collectors, the process of art production, as well as the importance of the relationship between studio space and artists.
