Join us for the Sikes Saturday Series!
This is a wonderful and fun educational series for kids and adults, held at the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead (located at 12655 Sunset Dr., Escondido) adjacent to the park and trails of the San Dieguito River Park. Offered each Saturday beginning January 7th and continuing every Saturday through the end of April 2017. There are typically two different programs each Saturday and they are approximately 1½ hours in length each.

The Farmstead is a State Point of Historic Interest and a City of San Diego historic site that is being restored to its period of significance. Established circa 1870 and featuring one of the area’s oldest adobe homes from the American era, the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead is a remarkable survivor of San Diego’s rural history and has a special role to play in preserving the legacy of old California. With the restoration, we can learn what life was like for the pioneer settlers in San Diego shortly after statehood.

Each program has a limited number of seats / places, so they need to know you are attending! The cost per person (adults and children) is $5.00 per Saturday event or $15.00 to attend the Valentine’s Teas events which include tea, sandwiches, and sweets.

Program fees help keep the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead accessible to all visitors and minimize costs associated with the programs. We appreciate your support!
