Gustavo Romero to Perform at California Center for the Arts, Escondido

The Center is proud to present internationally renowned concert pianist, Gustavo Romero, as part of their Intimate Classics series, on February 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Hailed as “a pianist of genius” by the Washington Post, Romero will perform works by Bach-Godowsky, Bach-Siloti, Bach-Bauer, Schubert, Maratka and Chopin.

A San Diego native with Guadalajara heritage, Gustavo Romero has a stellar reputation for both the technical brilliance and interpretive depth of his playing, as well as his commitment to in-depth exploration of individual composers. His first performance with the New York Philharmonic was at age 13, and he has since played with orchestras around the world, including the LA Philharmonic, Atlanta, Houston, Boston Pops, Russian Symphony Orchestra, Radio France Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, and more.
 
Mr. Romero has presented concerts around the globe and appeared at major festivals around the world. California Center for the Arts, Escondido looks forward to including him in the roster of artists who have taken center stage in this new recital series in the lovely, intimate setting of the Center Theater.
